This category acknowledges a local council that has implemented outstanding initiatives to support local Indigenous business and workforce inclusion. This council sets a standard for how local government can act as a catalyst for Indigenous economic development.
Award Eligibility: This award category is open to any local government council or organisation that has developed and implemented initiatives aimed at the inclusion of Indigenous businesses in their supply chain. Your nomination should demonstrate how the organisation has effected change within their procurement processes and increased spend with Indigenous suppliers in their region.
About the awards
The Summit Awards showcase and celebrate leadership and outstanding achievements by businesses, government departments, agencies, and individuals. Category nominations will be judged on their contribution to economic outcomes for Indigenous people and communities in NSW, through the growth of Indigenous owned businesses and their engagement in government and industry supply chains and the employment and career advancement of Indigenous people.
